Dr. Meghan McCarville

Dr. McCarville

Chief of Staff

Dr. Meghan grew up in a small town north of St. Paul, Minnesota, where she spent her time showing horses in 4H and the local saddle club association. It was here that she discovered her passion for animals. After attending college at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, Dr. Meghan then spent a year in China, where she taught English. Upon returning home, she attended the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2013. Dr. Meghan decided a long time ago that she didn’t want a job; she wanted a career. And she discovered that being a veterinarian allowed her to combine her love for animals into a career. In her spare time, Dr. McCarville enjoys breeding, training, and showing western pleasure horses with AQHA. She also has an interest in mounted archery, an up-and-coming sport. Dr. McCarville also enjoys traveling the world, going to places like India, Morocco, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

Dr. Lucero

Dr. Lucero

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lucero was born and raised in northern New Mexico and, since kindergarten, had her sights set on becoming a veterinarian. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas Tech University in 2004, and in 2008 received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University. For the first 7.5 years of her career, she worked in mixed animal practice (canine, feline, equine). In 2016, she transitioned to small animal practice (canine, feline), focusing on general medicine and surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Lucero enjoys spending her time with her horses. She competes in numerous western performance disciplines, including, but not limited to, barrel racing, sorting, and team roping.

Veterinary Technician

I believe I was called to veterinary medicine and was sure of my future in the veterinary field when I had my first pet as a child. I enjoy activities outside of work such as woodworking, DIY projects, artistic painting, and fly fishing. Although, my true love is pet care. Throughout my career, I have studied veterinary medicine/technology and have completed continuing education classes so that I can be the dedicated technician you would want for your family member.

Veterinary Technician

With over 30 years of experience as a veterinary technician, I’ve dedicated my life to caring for animals with skill, empathy, and heart. One of the things I take the most pride in is my ability to understand and respond to my patients’ needs—even when they can’t speak for themselves. I approach every patient with compassion, always striving to ease their pain and discomfort with gentle, attentive care. Outside of work, I find joy and relaxation in knitting, sewing, and spending time in the garden.

Gracie

Veterinary Technician

I’m three months into my journey as a veterinary technician, and every day I’m more passionate about the work I do. I take pride in the little things—whether it’s offering a gentle touch, decorating medical wrap on a fur baby, or going the extra mile to make sure each patient feels safe and cared for. It’s the small moments that make a big difference. Outside of work, I love curling up with a good book, getting lost in a puzzle, or spending time playing with my own animals.

Veterinary Technician

I’m just starting out in the veterinary field but I’ve had a passion for animal my entire life. Every day brings something new to learn, and I genuinely love the challenge of growing my skills so I can give each patient the thoughtful, compassionate care they deserve. It means a lot to me to be part of a team that helps animals feel better and supports the people who love them. Outside of work, I recharge by doing things that make me happy—whether it’s crafting something by hand, getting lost in a great book, or unwinding with a favorite video game. I’m excited for all that’s ahead and grateful to be on this path.
