Brooklyn
Hospital Greeter
I was born in Katy, Texas. I moved to Denison in 2022 with my mom Lori, who is the manager here at CCFV. My time in a veterinary hospital started when I was just 3 days old. When I was 8 weeks old, I got to officially be with my mom full-time and have been going to work with her ever since! I have multiple brothers and one sister. Some have 4 legs and some have 2 legs. When at work, I love greeting everyone at the front desk, growling and barking at the UPS guy and following my mom wherever she goes. In my free time, I love to chase the cows, run our property and take naps.
Brandi
Veterinary Technician
I have been a vet tech working on my 3rd year! I’m in the Penn foster program working on my license to be an RVT. My husband and I have 8 kids together and 4 left at home. We love supporting them and their dreams in sports and singing. On the weekends, we like to ride 4-wheelers, listen to music, have a campfire, and BBQ some food with friends.
Rayann
Veterinary Technician
I was born in Fort Worth and raised in Valley View. I currently live in Denison with my husband and our 2 children. My passion for animals started in middle school when I volunteered at the clinic where my best friend’s mom worked at. I have been a veterinary technician for 6 years. I have a Dachshund named “Sven” and two cats “Kygo” and “Marshmello.” I have worked in both general practices and emergency care. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, watch tv, play board games, or just be outdoors.

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I moved to the Sherman area in middle school. I graduated from Sherman High School, where I ran Cross Country. I have been in the veterinary field as a technician for over 10 years. I have enjoyed getting to know the great pets and people of this area that I call home. I like to go on walks with my dog Ellie, watching movies and going camping. You will also find me fishing on my kayak when it is not too hot.
Dr. Lucero
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Lucero was born and raised in northern New Mexico and, since kindergarten, had her sights set on becoming a veterinarian. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas Tech University in 2004, and in 2008 received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University. For the first 7.5 years of her career, she worked in mixed animal practice (canine, feline, equine). In 2016, she transitioned to small animal practice (canine, feline), focusing on general medicine and surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Lucero enjoys spending her time with her horses. She competes in numerous western performance disciplines, including, but not limited to, barrel racing, sorting, and team roping.
Dr. Doug McConkey
Senior Associate Veterinarian
I grew up on a farm with a menagerie of critters and knew by age 9 that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a career in a field that I love. I received my BS in Biomedical Science in 1995 and DVM in 1999 – both obtained at the greatest university to ever grace this fine county – TEXAS A&M. I chose this field because of my compassion for animals and a love of science. When I am not at the clinic, I can be found competitive Weightlifting, spending time with my beloved family (1 wife and 2 sons), fishing, boating, or catching those stripers on Lake Texoma.
Dr. Meghan McCarville
Chief of Staff
Dr. Meghan grew up in a small town north of St. Paul, Minnesota, where she spent her time showing horses in 4H and the local saddle club association. It was here that she discovered her passion for animals. After attending college at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, Dr. Meghan then spent a year in China, where she taught English. Upon returning home, she attended the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2013. Dr. Meghan decided a long time ago that she didn’t want a job; she wanted a career. And she discovered that being a veterinarian allowed her to combine her love for animals into a career. In her spare time, Dr. McCarville enjoys breeding, training, and showing western pleasure horses with AQHA. She also has an interest in mounted archery, an up-and-coming sport. Dr. McCarville also enjoys traveling the world, going to places like India, Morocco, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
Susan A.
Veterinary Technician
I believe I was called to veterinary medicine and was sure of my future in the veterinary field when I had my first pet as a child. I enjoy activities outside of work such as woodworking, DIY projects, artistic painting, and fly fishing. Although, my true love is pet care. Throughout my career, I have studied veterinary medicine/technology and have completed continuing education classes so that I can be the dedicated technician you would want for your family member.
Angie C.
Veterinary Technician
I have loved animals all my life. Love caring for them and helping them. I’m a Graduate of Sherman High School, Sherman, Texas. I’ve always wanted to care for animals and learn more about caring for animals. When I’m not at the animal hospital, I like to ride horses, read, movies and walk with my dogs. I also have 25 years of experience as a dog obedience trainer and offer training classes and private lessons.
Carolyn J.
Veterinary Assistant and Customer Service Representative
I was born in Dallas and raised right here in Sherman, Texas. I was introduced to animals at a very young age, starting with my grandmother’s dogs, and grew to love them instantly. Before veterinary medicine, I was working in a completely different field-production, construction, and physical labor, and I decided that I needed a change. Physically, mentally, and spiritually, what other place than the vet can you love and care for ‘born’ companions!? Outside the office, I enjoy my quiet time watching TV and planning things to do with friends and co-workers.
Lori M.
Practice Manager
I graduated from Katy High School in Katy, TX and received an Associates degree in Science at Lonestar College in Houston, TX. My veterinarian medicine career started off in the kennel and soon realized my passion for veterinary medicine. I then worked my way up to a veterinary technician. I have been in the field now for over 25 years. I have worked with cats, dogs, birds and exotics. During my years as a technician, I became a consultant for a veterinary software company which allowed me to travel all over the US, Australia and the UK. I have been a PM for over 10 years now. I enjoy spending time with friends, family and my 3 boys-Corey, Andrew and Avery. I have a passion for self development and health and wellness. I love to watch Football (Houston, Texans), basketball (Houston Rockets) and Baseball (Houston Astros). In addition to my 2-legged kids, I have 4, 4-legged kids. I have a Boxer named Brooklyn, a Husky/Pitbull Mix named Ayla, a Dachshund named Oscar and Maine Coon Mix (cat) named Axl.
Nikki D.
Lead Technician
Animals have always been a BIG part of my life; they have always been there in rough times and good times. For me to work in the Veterinary industry, gave me a way to repay them for the kindness, love, and partnership they have given me. I choose to work in the veterinary industry because animals can’t speak to us in ways most people can understand. I want to help them by speaking for them and teaching their owners the right way of taking care of them and also helping in the animal’s time of need. Outside of the office, I enjoy riding my horse, playing with my 5 dogs, and spending time with my family.
